What a rare day, Kurt is able to stay home with us for the entire Saturday. We really don't get too many days like this. One thing that Kurt likes to do on a lazy Saturday is head to McDonalds for a late breakfast, after sleeping in of course.

Kristen is getting her first tooth pulled today. The plan is to pull her baby teeth at just the right time, so that hopefully she won't have to have any adult teeth pulled to put on the braces. For some reason she is having a problem losing teeth. The tooth that was pulled should have come out 2 years ago. It still had a full root, so not even getting close to coming out.

Decided to have the clover kids try painting a patio paver. I figured that the ladybug was probably the easist one to paint for the children (and maybe me). I am thinking that this little lady turned out really cute and will look nice in a flower bed this spring, If I haven't managed to kill the bulbs that Kristen planted last fall

Today was Bible quizzing for Awana. Sarah was selected to comepete for the 4 years that she was in AWANA and it was finally Kristen's turn. She was so excited and couldn't wait to go. Sadly she didn't do well and kind of froze. We have assured her that next year will be better as she wil know what to expect.

At school we are competing in a Bandaid challege. The goal is to collect children's bandaids for University of Iowa childrens hospitat. Specifically the cancer and cardiac wards. My students were able to collect 26 boxes. There wasn't a single box of children's bandaids to be found in DeWitt by Friday.

Kristen belongs to the Goose Lake Clover Kids club. Today the club members were working on a visual arts project. The kids are painting their patio pavers to look like Lady Bugs. They really enjoyed this project, even though it took a while for the paint to dry. Everyone's ladybugs turned out really cute.

Gotta love kids. Even though I have had a meetings on Monday and Wednesday and Conferences Tuesday and Thursday my child informs me that she needs a valentines box for school. Now what ever happened to making the box in school? Any way on my day off, I woke up early just to put together a cute mailbox for Valentines day. Told Kristen she needs to keep it nice for the next two year.

It is time to start orthodontics with Kristen. Today is the day that they took x-rays and impressions. We also know that she is going to have at least one tooth pulled. She still hasn't lost teeth that should have come out when she was 7. Dad took her this morning and was good and took pictures for me. He even did a good job.

When I went to head out for work, discovered that one of the girls had left a light on in my car the night before. Needless to say I had a dead battery. Thankfully I have a good friend that has a battery charger. She was able to bring it over this evening and I was able to get the car started for work on Tuesday
