Spent the afternoon and evening with my husband. We don't get too many days to just ourselves. We went to Famous Dave's for supper. Boy was that a lot of food but very yummy. It was nice to have a day to just ourselves.

The phone was ringing and I couldn't find the phone. This happens a lot. One of the girls will use the phone and carry it off. They are not good at putting it back.

My students are working on a project and took a picture of me, working at my desk.

Picking up Kristen from Awana. I have been picking up a child from Awana since Sarah was in kindergarten. That means I have spent the past 10 years doing this on a Wednesday night. There is something to be said for having your kids closer in age.

This was the frost on the front door window this morning. It is really cold out.

Both girls are dancers so we spend many hours a week at this place.

Since I posted a face shot of Sox yesterday, I chose the face shot of Kitty for today's picture.

spent the day scrapping and cleaning, partially without children and one child in the afternoon. Since my cat Sox stayed with me all day, even tried to help me create a few pages, I decided to post her picture for today.

My students took this picture as they were preparing for a presentation they need to make in 2 weeks about our program. Since I don't have many pictures of me at my work, I thought that this would be a good shot for today.

Today's picture shows the headlines after yesterday's inauguration.

Sarah had to play in the pep band tonight. She used to help her dad all of the time for girl's basketball games when she was in elementary school. Kristen is so excited to be allowed to now sit on the bench with Kurt and Sarah and assist. Yet another sign that she is growing up.

I have decided that to help me with my weight loss, I would try creating a weight loss scrapbook. This is the first picture that I tried to take, however I couldn't get the weight to show up.

Today was yet another snow day. The 4th one this school year. I spent the day working on this explosion box

Kristen was excited to make and serve breakfast this morning since we had a snow day. She made strawberry muffins and bacon. Of course she insisted that she had to serve also.

Today, we learned that it is time to start Kristen's orthodonitic treatments. She goes back next month for x-rays and impressions, then comes the upper bridge, plus two teeth being pulled out. Hoping they can correct a few problems before her permanent teeth come in and maybe she won't need to lose her adult teeth.

This was the sign that I saw posted all around the office and teacher's lounge when I arrived at school this morning. I really did enjoy my rootbeer float and the chips with cheese dip. Yum.

When I left for church this morning, I noticed that there was water running down the sidewalk. It still was running down the sidewalk when we got home, so called IA/American water. They sent a crew out to investigate. After about 7 hours they are still looking for the break in the line. They did say that it wasn't our line (good news there). Said they had the same problem this morning with another break and discovered the break 35 feet from where the water was bubbling up. I hope they get done before bedtime as the whole house is shaking as they try to dig up the street.

We had between 6-8 inches of snow from last night to this afternoon. Here Sarah is out shoveling the sidewalk. I love the contrast between the white snow and Sarah's clothes

Happy Birthday to me. Took a picture of the cards that I received for my birthday.
I received a card from Chris Rall, Nancy Howson, Pastor Carr, and my Mother.

A picture of the girls at the 4-H meeting. Sarah's club meets the first Thursday of the month, except they postponed it by one week this month because of New Years

Sox in a Box. Our younger cat Sox loves to play in boxes

Sarah had pep band tonight. This is here first year in pep band

My first student to complete graduation requirements for this year. I am hoping to have at least 6 grads this year

Supper tonight is Paprika Chicken. Very tasy. The paprika and red peppers provide a little heat and the sour cream provides a little cool. WE all love it.

Spent today getting started on putting Christmas away.

Today I headed back to work. Didn't get much done

A photo of part of what was left of all of the food we had on New Year's Day. We had 12 people over to watch the games and eat.
